Day 1:  EL CALAFETE
Meals Included: Welcome dinner
Welcome to Argentina!

We begin our tour in the Patagonian town of El Calafete

El Calafate is a small town on the southern shore of Lago Argentino in Patagonia, once a sheep station and trading outpost, now thriving due to growing tourism. Known as the gateway to Parque Nacional Los Glaciares and the nearby Perito Moreno Glacier, it takes its name from the Calafate berry, which locals say guarantees a return to Patagonia if you eat one and make a wish!

After settling into our hotel, you might want to try some local Argentinian cuisine or visit the Patagonian Ice Museum, which offers fascinating glacier exhibits and a unique cocktail bar made entirely of ice.

The adventure officially begins with a welcome meeting at 17:00, followed by a welcome dinner with your leader.

Day 2: EL CHALTEN

Meals Included: Breakfast
Today we'll make our way from El Calafate to El Chaltén, located approximately 290 kilometres north of Los Glaciares National Park.

El Chaltén is renowned as Argentina’s trekking capital and serves as a key base for hikers, climbers, and nature enthusiasts from around the world. The village has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere focused on outdoor adventure, surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes including the iconic Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.

With a range of trails catering from easy walks to demanding multiday treks, El Chaltén offers unrivalled access to pristine wilderness, glacial lakes, ancient forests, and towering granite peaks. Its compact size and welcoming community make it an ideal launch point for exploring this rugged region.

Day 3: El CHALTEN

Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch
Today's adventure begins as you meet the guide at your hotel and set off from El Chaltén towards the captivating trail to Laguna Torre.
The first hour takes you along a gently ascending path that leads to the Cerro Torre viewpoint. Here, you’ll be greeted by an unforgettable panorama of the granite massif and its glistening glaciers—a perfect spot to pause, take photographs, and soak in the majesty of these iconic peaks.

After approximately two more hours of pleasant, leisurely walk, you’ll arrive at Laguna Torre, a stunning glacial lake cradled by rugged peaks. The closer perspective of the Cerro Torre massif, along with the striking Cordón Adela, Cerro Solo, and their surrounding glaciers, offers an unparalleled opportunity to connect with the raw power and beauty of this untamed land.
At the lagoon, you’ll have time to rest, enjoy a snack, and take in the tranquil atmosphere of this remote and untouched paradise, before retracing your steps along the same trail.

– Distance: 20 km
– Walking hours: 7/8 hrs
– Elevation: 356m gain | 356m drop

Note: Please note that the hike may change depending on weather conditions and other factors.
Day 4: El CHALTEN

Meals Included: Breakfast
Today’s highlight is a full day hike to Laguna de los Tres, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in El Chaltén. The trail covers approximately 20 km (round trip) with an elevation gain of around 750 metres.

We will begin at the village trailhead, following well marked paths through Lenga Beech forests and alongside rivers, gradually ascending towards the glacial moraine. The total hiking duration is between 8 and 10 hours, depending on pace and breaks.

The rewarding summit at Laguna de los Tres offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Fitz Roy and its surrounding peaks reflected in the clear turquoise waters of the lagoon. This challenging but manageable trek is ideal for those seeking to experience Patagonia’s dramatic mountain scenery up close.

Note: Please note that the hike may change depending on weather conditions and other factors.
Day 5: ESTANCIA

Meals Included: Breakfast and dinner
Today we travel from El Chaltén to our accommodation for the next three nights—a working estancia located about 30 minutes outside El Calafate, within Los Glaciares National Park. This ranch, with over a century of history, offers stunning views of the Andes Mountains as its main feature.

Day 6: Estancia

Meals Included: Breakfast
Today is a free day to relax and enjoy the ranch at your own pace, with the opportunity to explore its surrounding landscapes and take in the tranquillity of the Patagonian countryside.

Options include hiking along scenic trails, joining a guided tour to learn about the native flora and fauna, or simply unwinding while observing traditional rural activities like shearing and herding. You may also choose to savour the local cuisine, including a Patagonian lamb barbecue.

Day 7: Estancia
Meals Included: Breakfast, LUNCH and dinner
Today, we head to the Perito Moreno Glacier – one of the few balanced glaciers in the world. At 3 km (1.8 mi) wide and 30 km (19 mi) long, it’s a spectacular sight. There are multiple viewing platforms overlooking Lake Argentino, and they provide an ideal vantage point to watch and listen to the crack of the ice as it plunges into the waters below.
After an amazing day, we’ll head back to your accommodation for a relaxing evening.

Included Activities
Full day visit to Perito Moreno Glacier with box lunch, in shared service with English speaking tour guide
Entrance ticket to Los Glaciares National Park

Day 8: Torres del Paine
Meals Included: Breakfast
Today, we will travel from the Estancia to our hotel base to explore Torres del Paine. We’ll be picked up from our hotel and transferred to the bus station to catch the bus to Puerto Natales. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel.

Situated on the shores of the Señoret Channel, Puerto Natales is the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park and a great place to catch up with fellow hikers over a meal in one of the many quaint local restaurants.
Day 9: Torres del Paine

Meals Included: Breakfast
Today, we will embark on an unforgettable experience exploring the imposing Towers of Paine. Our adventure begins early with a transfer from our hotel to the Laguna Amarga sector of Torres del Paine National Park.

The hike starts at the Cerro Paine Reserve, where our guide will provide instructions. As we ascend, we’ll enjoy spectacular views from the Paso de los Vientos, take a rest at Refugio Chileno, and tackle a final challenging stretch that leads us directly in front of the majestic towers. Along the way, we will cross lenga forests and the Ascencio River, taking in unique landscapes at every turn. The reward is priceless, with time to pause, photograph, and fully appreciate one of Patagonia’s most iconic destinations.

Our return follows the same route, completing a memorable day immersed in nature.

A note on Single Supplements:
You may have seen companies advertising tours with "no single supplement." This means the cost of a private room is included for everyone, which isn’t ideal if you’re travelling with a friend or prefer to share.

FAQ's:

Hosted Tour: What is it and What Does the Host Do?
A Women Go Travel hosted tour means travelling with a local guide and your host, Angela. She will support you throughout your journey, beginning with pre-trip preparations, providing a reading list, packing advice, and answering any questions you have before you depart.
During the tour, Angela acts as your organised companion, managing logistics, updating you on plans, and helping sort out any hiccups.

Plus, having Angela as your host doesn’t add to the trip's cost compared to going alone. She’s the friendly face ensuring your holiday is enjoyable from start to finish.
How is a hosted tour different from other types of tours?
With Women Go Travel's hosted tours, you'll have Angela as your host, alongside a local guide who accompanies you 24/7. Together, they provide round the clock insights and support, ensuring your journey is both authentic and personalised, offering you the best of both worlds.
What are the benefits of going on a hosted tour?
There are lots of benefits, including:
1. You don't need to worry about the nitty-gritty details of planning and organising the trip. I take care of the logistics, including accommodations, transportation, and activities. This allows you to relax and enjoy the journey without the hassle of planning everything yourself.
2. You'll be travelling with a group of like-minded individuals who share a common interest in exploring the destination. This offers a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, make lasting friendships, and create memories together.
3. My tours use local guides who provide insider knowledge and a deeper understanding of the destination. These guides share fascinating stories, hidden gems, and cultural nuances that you might not discover on your own.
4. Having me as a host during your journey provides an extra layer of safety and support. I can address any concerns or emergencies that may arise, ensuring your well-being throughout the trip.
What is the typical group size for your hosted tours
This does vary slightly from tour to tour, but my maximum group size is 12 people.
This is considerably smaller compared to most companies offering small group tours, which typically accommodate 16 to 24 travellers.
WHo Are THESE trips for?
Any woman, no matter your age, is welcome!
Whether you are travelling solo, with friends or with your partner, whether you're single, married, divorced or widowed you belong.
All I ask is that you have a reasonable degree of fitness, a sense of adventure and preferably a fabulous sense of humour!
Also, be prepared for the unexpected. After all, is it really an adventure if everything goes exactly to plan!
I'm travelling on my own, is that a problem?
Absolutely not.
I will pair you with a suitable room mate, unless you prefer a single room (single supplements may be applicable, depending on the trip).
Plus, you will never be on your own on the tour (unless you want to be), I will be there to make sure of that!
Why women only trips?
I run women's only trips that offer a unique, empowering experience. They create a safe space to bond, share stories and build connections, where you can relax and be yourself without judgment. My trips focus on activities and cultural experiences tailored to women's interests, so you get practical routes, supportive company and hands on local experiences designed for the way women travel.
Plus, no‑one’s sprinting for the summit or auditioning to be the tour’s walking encyclopedia — we take our time and chat instead!
Your hosted tours are "Land Only", what does this mean?
"Land only" refers to a travel package that includes all the components of a holiday, such as accommodation, transportation, some meals and activities, but excludes international airfare.

The benefits of a "land only" package:
Flexibility: By booking your own flights separately, you have the freedom to choose your preferred airlines, routes, and departure dates. This allows you to customise your travel plans according to your preferences and budget.
Cost savings: By excluding airfare, "land only" packages can often be more affordable. This is especially beneficial for those who have access to discounted or reward flights, or individuals who prefer to book their flights using frequent flyer miles.
Personalisation: By having control over your flights, you have the opportunity to extend your trip or make stopovers along the way, adding more destinations to your itinerary.
Reunion: Maybe your best friend lives in another city, country or continent? What better way to meet up, than on an organised adventure!

I'm worried that I may be too old or too young for your tours, will my age be a problem?
The average age of women on my tours is 40's - 60's, but I actively welcome women of all ages. And, as I have already mentioned, the only requirements are that you have a reasonable degree of fitness, a sense of adventure and a fabulous sense of humour to join!
A multi-generational group brings together a diverse range of perspectives, knowledge, and experiences, providing a unique opportunity as everyone benefits from the wisdom and insights shared by each individual.
